You will need the LINUX compatibility toolkit for AIX with GNUmake and 
glib/gtk to build on AIX. The toolkit is available from IBM via ftp:

Unfortunately some versions of gtk crash due to a segmentation fault 
in gtk_init. 

NOTE: cdrecord does not have a real SCSI support for AIX. You will need to 
set the cd rom and cd recorder devices directly via the command line option.
        /dev/rcd0 is mapped to dev=0,0,0
        /dev/rcd1 is mapped to dev=0,1,0

The audio implementation depends on the AIX Ultimedia Services. It is tested 
for machines with MCA bus and PCI bus running AIX 4. The default audio device 
of the machine will be used unless the AUDIODEV environment variable is set. 
The volume can be set via the audio control panel of the AIX Ultimedia 
Services runtime environment. This is available from the bonus cd to AIX 4.x.
