GAI Mail Counter version 0.4 ======================================== The GAI MailCounter applet is a gnome 2 applet. It checks your mail server at regular intervals to determine if there is new mail in your mailbox. Different smileys appear in the applet if you have 0, 1 or more mails. The number on the left of this applet and the associated tooltip show the exact number of mail. It is possibile to specify, in the Preference dialog window: - Font colors selection - Local mail spool file: the location to check for new messages (Default: /var/spool/mail/<user>) - Execute when clicked: type a command in this text box. It will be run when you click on the MailCounter applet (Default: sylpheed) - Check for mail every secs: use this spin box to specify how often check the mailbox (Default: 30 secs) - Watched email address(es): you can insert some addresses, separated by commas and/or spaces, to watch. When you receive one or some mails from the watched addresses a different icon will be appear and the number of these mails will be shown in the tooltip. Installation ------------ Simply do: ./configure make make install It requires the GAI library (General Applet Interface) and you can find it at http://gai.sf.net together with other applets.
