Junkie, v0.3.1
===================

Junkie is an open-source GTK2 FTP client, with many great features, such as queues, site manager, edit/view on the fly. (see a more detailed list in 2.0 Features). Junkie is released under the BSD license, see the LICENSE file for more details.

1.0	Installing Junkie
------------------------------
Prerequisites:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You will need GTK2 (gtk2.0.3 or newer) and glib2.
If you wish to get sound support installed you will need to have ESD (Esound) installed, and if you want to be able to  Ogg-Vorbis files (with .ogg extension) you will need the libvorbis/vorbisfile libraries.  Support for MP3 is also included (libjamp) which is included in the source code of this package.  Libjamp is the AMP player (by tomislav uzelac) converted into a library by the Junkie development team.  Additionaly, users can enable support for old-school modules created in trackers, files with the xm, mod, s3m, it extensions, for this users need libmikmod installed on the system.
The configure script will detect which modules and which formats will be supported and the whole sound support is very optional so people are not required to have any of those libraries.
Simple Install:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Start by running the configure script, to setup the Makefiles.
	./configure

Then type 'make' to build the sources.

Then finally do a 'make install' to install junkie on the system.
