<p>
<a class="el" href="a01251.html" title="abstract class for specifying dataset behavior">vtkPointSet</a> is an abstract class that specifies the interface for datasets that explicitly use "point" arrays to represent geometry. For example, <a class="el" href="a01260.html" title="concrete dataset represents vertices, lines, polygons, and triangle strips">vtkPolyData</a> and <a class="el" href="a01789.html" title="dataset represents arbitrary combinations of all possible cell types">vtkUnstructuredGrid</a> require point arrays to specify point position, while <a class="el" href="a01635.html" title="A subclass of ImageData.">vtkStructuredPoints</a> generates point positions implicitly.<p>
