I mailed to Gerard but ... Gerard never answer, email adress is out of order. Like Gerard promised, English release is now available. BUT I'm a French guy who know a lot more about French then Foreign wine. So please be polite with me if French area are well represented. A French wine can be a Bordeaux, a Burgundy, even a wine from Savoie (who know's where Savoie is and that Savoie produce wine ? ) but a wine from GERMANY or GREECE is a wine from GERMANY or GREECE. Well, if you want to contribute, and feel like sending me informations about area, wine or whatever. Even a bottle (just mail me for my address). I will be pleased to enrich xcave. Ooops, Savoie is in the French Alps, maybe you've been skiing around and tasted wine from Savoie with Raclette or Fondue. Forgot it ? you're were right they're is some much more better wine in french than the white wine you can drink after skiing. Compiling and installing xcave ------------------------------ ./configure --prefix /usr make make install Be wise SAVE YOUR STOCKS FILE. assuming you don't have any compile errors (and really, you shouldn't) you now have an installed xcave software. Anyway nothing compiling, installing and using xcave is done in the same way that in the first release. I already working to optimize installation procedure. For this release my recommendation are: make make install vi /etc/xcave.conf to define path to your wine stock. execute /usr/local/bin/xcave Remarks, suggestions, bug repporting, bug correction are welcome at: xcave@free.fr Multi language -------------- French and English language are supported, gettext functionnality and software are user. So language of xcave depends of few setting like LANG,LC_LANGUAGE ... Refer to official gettext web site at http://gnu.org for further information. New translation are welcome. Make a copy of xcave-x.x/po/xcave.pot xcave-x.x/po/de_po (for German language) and juste make the translation like in fr.po file. Once this is done, just send me the file. Sorry for my English, should not all the time be really good. So feel free to send me correction or modification for 'en.po' file. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GNU Public License version 2 xcave comes with absolutely no warranty. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OLD STUFF -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For french speaking people : -------------------------- Merci d'avoir téléchargé xcave !
