Advances range from ancient technologies or discoveries such as pottery or horseback riding, through modern-day innovations like jet engines, computers, and MTV (OK, maybe not MTV), and into future advances such as limb regeneration or faster-than-light travel. </P> <P> You achieve an advance by acquiring any prerequisite advances, then having your side or individual units do research on the desired advance.
