To do this make sure NtEd is in insert mode (see <a class="link" href="ch01s04.html#the_modes" title="The 3 modes">The 3 modes</a>). Choose:</p><p> <span class="guimenu"><span class="accel">I</span>nsert</span> → <span class="guimenuitem">chordname ...</span> </p><p>The chord name dialog appears</p><div class="mediaobject"><img src="../docimages/chordnamedialog.png" alt="the chord name dialog"></div><p>Insert a root, an up text and a down text and press OK.
