The <CODE>\nolinebreak</CODE> command is a null command.</P><P>The <CODE>\\</CODE> and <CODE>\\*</CODE> commands output a <CODE><BR></CODE> tag, except inside arrays where the close the current row. Their optional argument is ignored.
